CHALLENGE
Rivers Edge Ranch was launching their first website and needed an online presence that effectively introduced the farm, their products, and the Southern Colorado area. The challenge was to create a user-friendly platform that showcased the farm’s unique identity, built trust with new customers, and drove engagement.
RESEARCH
The research phase was initiated by a dive into Rivers Edge Ranch’s goals and objectives. Through a series of consultations and visits to the farm, I gathered valuable insights into the brand’s identity, target audience, and business needs. By coming to the farm, I understood the unique selling points and core values that are key to shaping the website’s direction. I concluded my research by conducting a competitor analysis of similar farms and other businesses in the area to identify best practices.
DESIGN & CONCEPT
The design and concept phases were closely intertwined, focusing on creating a visually appealing, user-friendly layout that reflected the rustic essence of Rivers Edge Ranch. I developed wireframes and mockups, ensuring intuitive navigation and easy access to key content. The user-friendly nature of the layout was a key consideration throughout the design process. I wanted the design to include earthy tones and rich imagery to convey the farm’s commitment to sustainability. In parallel, I translated research insights into a concrete blueprint, emphasizing interactive features like an educational blog, product descriptions, and an “Explore” section.
DEVELOPMENT
I brought the design and concept to life by translating my ideas into a fully functional website. After selecting and customizing a suitable WordPress template, I integrated essential features such as a contact form and a blog section for regular updates. A key focus was on ensuring the website's performance was optimized, including fast load times, mobile responsiveness, and search engine optimization (SEO) best practices. I also added analytics tracking to monitor the website’s performance and make data-driven decisions for future improvements. The website was built with scalability, allowing for easy future updates and additional features.
